A self confessed Skiwi [Scottish Kiwi] and frustrated mobile DJ, David first hit the Comedy stage in 2010 after discovering he really preferred to be on the mic to spinning discs. Since then he's gone from strength to strength performing in line-up shows alongside some of the best local and International comedians including Paul Ego, Ben Hurley, Urzila Carlson, Gordon Southern, Tom Binns, Marcel Lucont and the late great Ewen Gilmour. He was a semi finalist in the 2012 RAW Comedy Quest and picked up NZ Comedy Guild Award nominations in 2012 and 2014 for Most Outstanding contribution to the industry.
David has a slightly distorted view on the world we live in, delivering clever witted anecdotes and random one liners. David performed his first festival show, The Nowhere show in 2012 in the NZ International Comedy Festival and his second show, Scotch and Wry in 2013 outside of the Festival, Limited Company in 2016 and Sex Drugs and Vege rolls in 2017.
David is now an accomplished MC and Quiz master, MCing various events including for Hollie Smith at the 2021 Titirangi Festival Of Music.
