Chris Swann

Chris Swann is an Auckland based screen actor who reads naturally in roles with authority and responsibility. He brings a grounded, practical energy that suits commissioners, agents, captains, managers and men who have to make decisions under pressure. 

On screen, his recent work includes the feature films Pike River, Bloodlines, and Gangsta where he plays the lead. He is also attached to The Pendant for 2026 as Commissioner Richard Carver.

In television and streaming, he appears in Te Pahi for RNZ as Captain Potatoes, and he continues to build range through short-form work including lead roles in Butcher and The Dames Among the Sirs.

Chris trained through the Diploma in Drama and Screen Acting at South Seas Film School (Yoobee), alongside ongoing technique work in Michael Chekhov with Elena Stejko, plus Fight for Camera training with NZ Stunt School. He is also a strong utility cast with American and RP accents, ballroom, basic French, and real-world physical skills including motorcycling and scuba diving.
