Kayla Cache is a young actor based in New Zealand who loves being on set and telling stories.
In 2024 she won Best Youth Actor at the Misty Flicks Film Festival, and since then she’s kept busy across short films, screen work, music videos, and theatre. Her screen credits include SBS’s Dear My Mother, plus music videos for Ruby Coley and 0800.
Kayla also makes her own films. That’s Offensive won Best Film by Under 14s at the 2025 Day One New Filmmakers Awards, and her shorts The Closet Crawler and The Break In have both picked up youth awards at Misty Flicks. The Ivy Forest, which she directed and starred in, was selected for the 12 and under programme at the 2025 Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival.
Outside of acting, Kayla trains at Rezpect Dance Academy and has earned dance awards along the way. She’s a hardworking, creative young performer with real momentum, and she’s only just getting started.
