Evie Orpe is a comedian, MC and content creator with a sharp, funny and very current take on the world around her. Originally from Lower Hutt, Evie brings together stand up, social commentary, glamour, chaos and quick fire observation in a way that feels fresh, smart and completely her own.
A 2024 Raw Comedy Quest finalist, Evie has quickly become one of Aotearoa’s exciting new comedy voices. Her comedy sits in the sweet spot between low stakes everyday absurdity and big picture cultural commentary, moving easily from the ridiculous details of modern life to the strange, messy and often terrifying things happening in the news.
Her 2026 NZ International Comedy Festival show Tell Me! played as a twisted late night talk show, mixing sharp news jokes, wild monologues, dance breaks and dark humour while keeping the room laughing. Reviewers praised the show as clever, chaotic and full of energy, with an audience clearly along for the ride.
As an MC, Evie brings warmth, pace and confidence to the room. She is quick, engaging and naturally funny, with the ability to keep an event moving while giving it personality. Whether she is hosting a comedy night, a panel, a quiz, a brand event or a live conversation, Evie brings an easy presence, a sharp eye and the kind of humour that makes people feel like they are in very good hands.
