She/Her
Pamela Kaval is a New Zealand–based actor whose screen work spans television, feature films, short films, music videos, and educational productions. She has earned multiple awards for acting, producing, and screenwriting, bringing an instinctive blend of authenticity, subtle humour, and emotional depth to her roles. She stars opposite Joe Naufahu (Game of Thrones, Spartacus) in The Taxi, which is currently on the international festival circuit, and has appeared across a range of narrative and commercial projects throughout Aotearoa. Pamela’s versatility extends from grounded dramatic roles to sharp comedic characters, supported by her extensive creative background as a filmmaker and writer. Through her company Wildaval Productions, she has created nineteen short films, with Garden Cops and Track in pre-production. Garden Cops serves as a proof-of-concept for a television series currently in development. Pamela is also an accomplished writer. She has had a short story published, has written a middle-grade novel, and is represented by the Frances Plumpton Literary Agency for her books. Beyond her screen and writing work, Pamela leads youth filmmaking workshops across small towns in New Zealand, supporting emerging young storytellers and developing the next generation of screen talent.
