The New Zealand premiere of Avatar Fire & Ash was one of those nights that genuinely felt bigger than the red carpet. The energy was high, the atmosphere was buzzing, and it was a massive moment to see so many people come together to celebrate a film event of this scale here in Aotearoa.
For Collaborate Management, it was also a proud milestone because our own Christopher Alan Moore attended the premiere, representing not only himself but the work that goes on behind the scenes for years to get to moments like this. Christopher appears in Avatar Fire & Ash as a Submarine Pilot, and seeing his contribution on the big screen, then having him there in person for the New Zealand premiere, made the whole night feel even more special. These are the moments that remind you why the craft matters and why representation matters, because the right opportunities turn into real credits, real visibility, and real momentum.
The film itself was absolutely worth the hype. Avatar Fire & Ash is visually next level, intense in the best way, and properly immersive. It has that cinematic sweep where you forget the outside world exists for a while, and you can feel the care that’s gone into building out the story, the world, and the scale of it all. It’s the kind of movie that reminds you why audiences still show up for big-screen experiences, because some films are simply made to be seen that way.
There’s also something especially cool about celebrating international projects through a New Zealand lens, with talent connected to our industry right there in the mix. For actors and creatives, premieres can be a full-circle moment, but they’re also a signal that the work continues, that opportunities are out there, and that New Zealand talent belongs on the world stage.
We’re proud of Christopher Alan Moore, proud of this credit, and proud to have been part of a night that felt like a real accomplishment. Huge congratulations to everyone involved in Avatar Fire & Ash, and a big shout out to the team behind the NZ premiere for putting on such a fabulous event. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s one to catch on the biggest screen you can find.
