Hoete Mitai‑Ngatai is a Rotorua‑based actor of Te Arawa and Mataatua heritage, fluent in te reo Māori, English, and Spanish.

His on‑screen work includes portraying Rauru in the Māori‑language drama Kairākau and appearing in the educational sitcom Tōku Reo, along with presenting and voice work for Māori Television.

In addition to his screen career, Hoete co‑manages Ahu Boutique—a contemporary Māori fashion label founded in Rotorua in 2013—serving as general manager alongside Creative Director Adrienne Whitewood, and expanding operations with a second store in Wellington. He also oversees the couple’s Māori‑inspired chocolate and gift venture KŌKŌ, rooted in indigenous product innovation.
