Get ready to be blown away by the dynamo that is Roy Iro. This trailblazing artist isn't just your run-of-the-mill actor and writer – he's an award-winning powerhouse on a mission to redefine excellence in the world of creativity.
Fresh out of Te Kura Toi Whakaari o Aotearoa (New Zealand Drama School) in 2021, Roy wasted no time in making waves. Co-creating and starring in the mind-blowing musical sensation, FLAMES: A Hip-Hop Musical, earning the production a slew of well-deserved accolades.

Roy also received an Honourable Mention for Best Supporting Actor in 'In the Depths' in 2021.
Our wonderful actor is not content to ride on the coattails of others. Under the mentorship of luminaries like Hone Kouka, Mīria George, Tainui Tukiwaho, and Sepelini Mua’au, he's carving his own path, writing, and producing his own works that promise to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

“I’m forever grateful to be able to present any work that includes uplifting POC and being able to deliver these works to areas that don’t see a lot of theatre or themselves on stage or on screen.”  - Roy Iro
